My name is Liu Hsin-Yang. That was probably the craziest time of my life—I did all sorts of strange things. It was also the time when I changed the most. But I’m grateful for everything that happened. I used to love running around, meeting random people. Then one day, I “came into contact with this thing,” and that thing basically opened the door to a whole new world for me. Once that door opened, it was hard to close it again, because I became filled with curiosity about everything unknown. And that curiosity was hard to stop. After that, I started to feel off—I became a different person, arrogant even—until I got arrested. That moment was like waking up from a long dream. Once I woke up, I began to see how much everything around me had changed. I also started reflecting on my past. I realized who really stayed by my side during the toughest times, and who drifted away because of what happened. But after going through all of that, I think it served as a lesson—and a chance for me to grow up.
