Introduction
The 114th graduating class of the Department of Fashion Design at Tainan University of Technology presents nearly 150 fashion pieces created by 46 graduating students, showcasing their creativity and craftsmanship. Centered around bags, footwear, hats, and various fashion accessories, these works reflect the students' learning achievements over the past three years. Combining creativity training, material design application, 3D digital prototyping, and brand marketing practices, the collection demonstrates their unique perspectives and rich expression in fashion design. This year’s theme, "RE: Restart," explores the significance of embracing the process rather than being solely fixated on success in today’s fast-paced and information-overloaded world. In the rush to achieve results, we often overlook the value of each stage, missing the chance to fully experience and absorb its essence. This collection invites us to turn fleeting moments into lifelong nourishment. The works are divided into three sub-themes: 〈Initial〉 – Symbolizing the beginning of perception, a return to zero. The unknown wilderness represents the start of a journey, where raw, natural aesthetics and sustainable designs redefine beauty with minimal processing. 〈Awakening〉 – Representing accumulated life experiences and past memories, the ever-revolving trajectory of daily life. Those subtle, fleeting moments become the small joys that provide solace and a sense of belonging in an uncertain world. 〈Bloom〉 – Symbolizing an endless journey with no boundaries. Roaming between the vast realms of virtuality and reality, this theme erases the lines between fantasy and existence, focusing on AI, technology, and creativity. Each piece showcases the students' professional understanding and innovative thinking, expressing their aspirations and the boundless possibilities of the future.
