A HUMBLE

Introduction

"Countless coincidences come together, turning into inevitability." — Genki Kawamura. The dust on an old bookshelf, the stain between the panels of a floor-to-ceiling window, the ashes left behind by a burnt incense stick. You wake up from a nap on a summer afternoon, seeing the light spill through the leaves and branches, casting the shadows of trees around your feet. You have to look closely at the warm ray of sunshine to notice the flickering particles of light drifting through the air. Some fragments of life may seem trivial and insignificant; some objects, seemingly unimportant, need not exist. Yet, millions of fleeting thoughts and subtle choices layer upon one another, shaping a soul and its vessel, and ultimately, the world. Beneath the waterfall of society, the intangible self-consciousness is but a drop in the flow. Yet, it lingers in the dim light of life—splendid and delicate. Perhaps, in smallness, life finds its answer.
