Introduction

Exhibition Design Concept for "2359"

"23:59" marks the intersection of "luck" and "regret." In these final sixty seconds before midnight, a feeling of accomplishment from achieving a goal alternates with the sting of missing it. "2359" symbolizes the ever-present save point, each one representing a near-completion of a milestone. As we approach the end of four years, we invite everyone to charge forward in these final moments of college. Before the last "23:59," may you shine bright, completing the game of life with joy and enthusiasm. The goal is to leave behind a game-clear achievement and continue to the next "2359."

The exhibition is centered around the core concept of "2359," intertwining with the virtual virus RPG game universe. This creates an immersive environment known as the "Inner World Experiment Lab," symbolizing Generation Z’s journey in navigating the boundaries between the virtual and the real, a process of self-discovery and breaking through limitations. Each group within the exhibition takes on the role of a "virus slot," presenting unique spaces and storylines that reflect contemporary youth’s creative approach and contemplation of life amid the digital age’s overwhelming tide.

Our design emphasizes "immersion," "story connection," "interactive engagement," and "functional circulation." We leverage lighting, sound effects, interactive game devices, and visual guidance to craft an experience that feels like logging into a game. As the system locks the time at 23:59, a tense atmosphere builds, allowing the audience to experience the gradual blurring of lines between the digital virus’s spread and the merging of digital and real worlds. This experience helps the audience understand the values and intentions conveyed by the graduates through their creative works.

In "2359," the exhibition becomes more than just a graduation showcase; it symbolizes courage, choice, and the archival moment of a generation’s spirit. Our aim is for the audience to witness the creative energy and life attitudes of contemporary youth in this crossroad of virtual and real worlds. Through the challenges they face and the unknowns they embrace, we hope the audience feels inspired by their courage and determination. This exhibition will document the brilliant, pride-worthy moments of this generation’s final seconds before they enter the next phase.
