This piece draws upon the structural vocabulary of traditional Chinese dougong, reimagining it as a wall-mounted shelf that projects outward from the surface. Begonia-patterned glass evokes the visual language of classical window latticework, while dual-directional lighting casts floral shadows above and a virtual column below. Through a refined interplay of material and light, the work offers a contemporary interpretation of Eastern architectural symbolism.

Tracing the Path

Department of Arts and Design, National Taipei University of Education

I like walking along paths of stone and soil, feeling the breeze and the soft whispers of plants. Each walk lets nature and memory settle like soil. I gather materials, explore and layer, letting stones and plants carry the beauty of the journey, preserved in clay.
