The piper's flute has a magical power. On this day, it attracts four monsters, Spider Bael, Toucan Phenex, Whale Leviathan, and Bull-Man Moloch, each with a body part resembling an ocarina. In terms of technique, the ocarina is incorporated into the sculpture, creating a modular structure. The appearance features grogged clay as the base, accented with slip and a touch of glaze.

Doughnut Floating Shelf

Department of Industrial Design, National Kaohsiung Normal University

This piece draws upon the structural vocabulary of traditional Chinese dougong, reimagining it as a wall-mounted shelf that projects outward from the surface. Begonia-patterned glass evokes the visual language of classical window latticework, while dual-directional lighting casts floral shadows above and a virtual column below. Through a refined interplay of material and light, the work offers a contemporary interpretation of Eastern architectural symbolism.
