Introduction
In every moment of hesitation and forward movement, we leave traces of ourselves through creation.
The 2025 Graduation Exhibition TRACING, presented by the Department of Multimedia and Game Development at Minghsin University of Science and Technology, centers on the theme of self-exploration and personal growth, portraying the journey of individuals seeking direction amidst uncertainty and choices.
The exhibition draws inspiration from Ryūnosuke Akutagawa’s Too Literary a Literary Work (Bungaku no Amari ni Bungaku-teki naru Mono), in which he states, "Without any moment in my life, I would not be who I am today," as well as from Rabindranath Tagore’s Stray Birds: "I cast my own shadow upon my path, because I have a lamp that has not been lighted." These words echo how every hesitation and breakthrough shapes the selves we are today.
The exhibition will showcase 11 student projects across diverse fields, including animation, interactive design, and game media. The works explore themes ranging from cultural promotion and environmental issues to original storytelling, demonstrating the fusion of technology and creativity, and reflecting the department’s educational philosophy.
The exhibition space is designed with trompe-l'œil geometric structures as its core visual language, paired with a gradient of warm and cool tones and layered lighting effects, creating a visual metaphor for exploration, choice, and breakthrough.
TRACING is not only a showcase of academic achievements but also a journey of self-confrontation and envisioning the future.
